I came up with a top ten but I'm sure if I thought about it more I could move some of these out and others in. But, off the top of my head and not really in any particular order:

    Apocalypse Now

    To Kill A Mockingbird

    Network

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb

    Young Frankenstein

Monty Python & The Holy Grail

    The Exorcist

    Muriel's Wedding

    Strictly Ballroom

    In America

I think my favorite movie would have to be The Life of David Gail (Gale?).

Hmmmmm. I'm still a Bladerunner fan but I don't know that it's my favorite anymore and the Usual Suspects stands out but also not my favorite. I think the Lord of the Rings trilogy is at or near the top of my list and I've been waiting for those since I was about 12. I also really enjoyed (though enjoyed seems like the wrong word) Frailty. Not sure I've hit my favorite yet. Will have to keep thinking.

I loved Muriel's Wedding and The Others, too. And though I'm no sports movie fan I really thought Friday Night Lights was done very well. Of course I still enjoy The Rocky Horror Picture Show. :oP

Dr. Zhivago? Man, I watched that, good thing I have TIVO, it took me two weeks of starting and stopping, starting and stopping, starting and stopping. I was starting to think it was some kind of practical joke, the movie that never ends.

I'm thinking that movie of Liddia blackening her own eyes in the race at the reunion is probably going to be a good one. Haven't seen it yet.
